Rachel Jayne Mackay
(+61) 0478 430 322
Rachel is a production designer and visual artist working with design for film, music videos, installations and commercials.
She works in both large and small-scale in the creation of spatial environments and still life sets. She is also part of Sydney-based art collective Studio Rain, where she works with experiential public art installations.
Rachel's creative practice is diverse and experimental. Employing a hands-on approach, her work fuses conceptual narratives with visual, spatial and experiential design elements.
Rachel graduated from UTS with a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication in 2010.
She lived in Copenhagen from 2011–2017, where she worked for Danish interior design and architecture studio Johannes Torpe Studios. Her work here included an installation series for Nike in Beijing and an award-winning bicycle showroom in Denmark.
In returning to Sydney, Rachel's passion for working with three-dimensional environments led her to pursue a career working within film and the arts.
